Welcome to the Sinirangan Team Blog!
By Ced Solidon • Jul 27th, 2007 • Category: AnnouncementsHi! This website will be the home of the Sinirangan Team Blog, the first of its kind in Eastern Samar.
While this is still pretty much empty, here are some things you can expect from this blog:
- Posts on the latest news, events and a lot more on the province and its people wherever in the world they maybe,
- Podcasts from some of the trusted names in the province,
- Video blogs where you can see what’s happening, and
- User-submitted information. Eventually, we will take some of the best user-submitted posts, videos and more, and we will publish them on this blog. Now you can have your say on what’s going on in Eastern Samar!
While blogs often have the mix of opinion and news writing, our team will see to it that the content that we publish are fair and accurate. On the other hand, visitors can post their comments about particular posts.
For now, we are looking for writers and bloggers who are willing to join us and be a part of our team! To apply, simply send your resume plus three sample works in English to info @ sinirangan.com.
These are exciting times and it’s about time Eastern Samarenos enter the blogging world!
Ced Solidon is the blog's founder. He currently works as a freelance writer. Aside from that, he also maintains a writing blog, Write Like a Rock Star! He loves to read books and play music.

hain na an iba? pagka-ulpot na kam mga budoy…
very noble!
i read your invitation early this august in the kumustahan portion of the iborongan.com. reading it, i was interested in your invitation at certain extent. but i was and am still busy with my work. so, i have only a small time to write and submit the first team blog’s requirements.
as of now, i can only share my comments to the articles posted in this regional site…
i don’t know if i can be qualified to be a member of the first team blog.
all i know, i am a blogger myself. i love writing. in fact, it is my hobby. i read books on the philippine literature, sociology and history.
then again, i’m happy i can share my thoughts though in the comment section only…
good luck to the first team blog!
halo ced, congats 4 ur efort to keep ol estehanons united and give dem chance 2 air their views. pakiana la-kay ano nga diri man nagamit real name nasubmit coments? like siday or parahuyong. dats y wara liwat ak pagbutang ak real name kay diri man ngatanan nasumat ngaran. sugestion la, mas maupay nga diri na tagan space iton diri magsumat tinuod ngaran, kon matuman ini nimo mas maupay gud. otherwise, mahinugad la ini hiton iborongan nga site. mas maupay ngani kon ipasurat nimo kon taga diiin nga lugar ug kon ok pa, pati iya personal circumstance, trabaho, status, etc. sugestion ko la ini. u can consider it or reject it kay ikaw man webhost. rest asurd nga nex time mabutang ak akon tinuo ngaran. salamat damo.
Hello, secret. Oo, aware ako hiton problema ha iborongan ngan diri kunta hiya mahinabo dinhi bisan aliases la iton gamit. Pero kon masugad man, hihimoan ta it hin paagi. Salamat han suggestion.
testing la, kon di asya an ak space nga gin postan, sori, hehe…musta la kan kuya abet! email ak…
dear pipol: musta na? miss you all.
I think it is enough that nobody could contribute without a valid e-mail add in here. In iborongan no verification of email is done so everyone can just leave or post a message even if it is against ethical standards of posting. Anyway, if it is okay with Ced I guess it is also good at least to ask to put real first names or nicknames just like the members of the blog team.
Good suggestions, secret. God bless!
Ced,
Use of codenames work to a certain purpose. For one, overfamiliarity is averted and for another, mudslinging is somehow controlled. On the other hand, use of CN is also a way of others to freely express themselves especially on critical and sensitive issues and concerns of sorts.
If it will be made as a rule to use one’s “real” name (which I believe is always easy to be faked) in posting comments/replies, then I will submit to such rule.
Rakenrol!
I agree with the situation at iborongan. However, I don’t find the need of doing it yet here. Swerte kita so far nga wara pa magtuyaw-tuyaw nga nabisita dinhi. But if and when it happens, that will be the time when we have to have some more secure measures with regards to leaving comments.
It is easy to post bad language at iborongan coz there is no need for verifiable email add. Though it does mean that a verifiable email add is an assurance (as Haruan says it could be “faked”) at least it somehow deters people from being “unnecessarily frank”
Also, comments here need moderator’s approval. iborongan has only a filter that does not work properly. Sometimes it filters even postings that has no bad language and yet allow messages with bad words. Weird filter!
There should be a “not” after does in my previous post. Sorry for the mistake which changes the meaning of the sentence.
To Haruan, please include more details about the position so that we could post it in our BB. Thanks
