How to Become a Sinirangan.com Contributor

I have received several e-mails asking me on how to become a contributor for this blog. The process is actually easy. Below are the steps and some requirements for you to be able to contribute content to the blog.

Registration How-to’s

1. Register first by clicking this link.

2. Once you have registered, you can now access your account using the username and the temporary password sent to you in the e-mail address you have provided.

3. Access your account through this link.

4. Once there, click on the Profile tab and replace your password. Also provide your real first and last names, otherwise, your contributed content will not be approved.

5. Congratulations, you are now a contributor to the Sinirangan.com blog and can send in your posts immediately!

What to Write

Writing for the blog isn’t that difficult. Below are some things that will help you get started:

1. Keep your posts related to Eastern Samar. If it is a national or international issue that you are talking about, make sure to relate it to the situation in the province. You may write your articles in English, Waray and Tagalog.

2. Make your title descriptive of the content you have submitted. For example, if it is a video of dolphins sighted on the coast of San Julian, make your title something like ‘A Video of Dolphins Sighted in San Julian, Eastern Samar’.

3. Keep your posts objective and fair. Always be ready to show proof of your claims by providing statics, photos or whatnot. Mudslinging, below-the-belt posts as well as posts that contain things like racism, and political and religious intolerance will not be approved on this blog.

4. All submitted content are subject to approval. If your submissions are not approved then they probably did not comply to items mentioned above.

5. Questions about unapproved posts will not be entertained.
