The Forum: How Will You Survive the Food and Oil Crisis?

April 28th, 2008 | by Ced Solidon |

The Forum is an avenue to know week-by-week which are the most important issues in Eastern Samar right now as well as other lighter topics for discussion. Aside from that, it gives the visitors the chance to discuss it on this blog. Also, the readers have the power to decide which topic to discuss every week.

As food prices continue to soar and with the price of oil reaching new record prices, two of the most important commodities that make nations run are bringing them to their knees.

Some say that the rice crisis we are having now is due to the incredible price increases and not a shortage on supply. Meanwhile, the price of oil is further jacked up by unrest in various oil-producing regions, particularly in Nigeria and the Middle East.

With this situation, what measures will you take to protect you from the high prices of food and oil? Please leave your answers on the comment box below.

if you’re in metro manila, go to the national archives’ office… if in cebu, please visit the USC Library. it has a collection of genealogy… i saw a copy when i was pursuing my MA History way back 1997…
