Eastern Samar Cop Shoots Boss
May 3rd, 2008 | by Ced Solidon |A police officer shot a town police chief in Eastern Samar last Thursday night. This came from a report by Joey A. Gabieta at The Philippine Daily Inquirer’s website.
Police Officer 1 Wintrop Caspe shot Inspector Edwin Barbosa after Barbosa reprimanded the inebriated Caspe for not reporting for duty and ordered him to go home. Caspe left the police station briefly only to return and shoot Barbosa at the thigh with his M16 rifle.
Barbosa, 36, is the police chief of the town of Maydolong, Eastern Samar.
PO1 Mario Quial and PO1 Gilberto Colima tried to subdue the suspect who managed to escape. He is still at large.
Barbosa was then rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Borongan City where he was declared safe from danger.

Ha? IS this the kind of POlice that we have? I am not criticizing him nor the PNP. But I am just asking that should they not practice ultimate discipline?
