Borongan City and 10 Eastern Samar Towns at Risk of Landslides
By Ced Solidon • Oct 20th, 2008 • Category: NewsBorongan City and 10 municipalities are at risk of landslides in Eastern Samar according to a report by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The 10 municipalities and the number of their respective landslide-prone barangays are as follows: Taft (11), Mercedes (11), San Julian (10), Sulat (10), Oras (10), Can-avid (9), San Policarpo (8), Guiuan (6), Dolores (4) and Salcedo (4). Borongan City has 23 at-risk barangays.
