Eastern Samar Under Signal No. 1 Due To ‘Auring’; Thousands Stranded In N. Samar

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) advisory, the typhoon was 210km east of Catarman, Northern Samar as of 2am.
Because the province is still under signal no. 1, PAGASA warned residents living in low-lying areas and near mountain slopes against possible flashfloods and landslides.
Thousands Stranded In Northern Samar
As many as 6,352 people were stranded at the Looc and Dapdap Ports in Allen, Northern Samar after the Philippine Coast Guard cancelled trips Sunday due to the stormy winds brought about by the typhoon. This report has the details.
