Stop Power Rate Hike – Eastern Samar Gov
By Ced Solidon • May 4th, 2009 • Category: NewsEastern Samar Governor Ben Evardone has asked the Energy Regulatory Commission to stop the P1.14 per killowatt-hour (kWh) power rate increase in the Eastern Visayas region.
This is contained in a three-page petition sent to the ERC dated April 20, according to The Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Joey Gabieta.
Currently, the Eastern Samar Electric Cooperative is charging P7.7487 per kWh, which is among the highest in the country, according to Evardone.
