16th INWW accepts Waray manuscripts

The Iligan National Writers Workshop is accepting manuscripts in Waray on its 16th year this 2009. Aside from the eleven slots allocated for the non-Visayas applicants, five from the Visayas are available for writing fellowships to the INWW.

November 10 is a Special Non-working Holiday in Eastern Samar

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently declared Nov. 10 as a special non-working holiday in Eastern Samar. The holiday is for the celebration of the 43rd Foundation Day anniversary of the province. It is originally celebrated on on Nov. 9, but since it falls on a Sunday, it will be moved to the next day.



5th Lamiraw fellows named

Call for Siday Entries
