Eastern Samar Governor Ben Evardone Appointed as LGU Adviser

The announcement was made by yesterday President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo during the oath-taking ceremonies of the new officers of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines.

Call for Siday Entries

GMA’s Trip to Eastern Samar Cut Short

The highly-anticipated trip of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to Eastern Samar was cut short due to the storm ‘Pablo’ which hit the province today.

Instead of proceeding to three scheduled events for the day, Mrs. Arroyo was only able to attend the wreath-laying ceremonies in Balangiga. Her trip to Arteche, where she was to inaugurate the Catumsan-Aguinaldo farm-to-market road and her Cabinet meeting in Calicoan Island in Guiuan were both canceled.

GMA to Visit Eastern Samar Tomorrow

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is set to go on an official trip tomorrow to Eastern Samar that will take her to almost the entire stretch of the province.

Her first stop will be at the town of Arteche to inaugurate the Catumsan-Aguinaldo farm-to-market road. Aside from that, she will also conduct an aerial inspection of the Arteche network road project which will link the provinces of Eastern, Western and Northern Samar.
